PV'ers:

FWIW, Today CAPT Dave Gleisner and I ventured once again into "Dog Territory" on Jones Road (home addy: 26988), just after turning left (NW) from McIntosh Rd.

Simultaneously, four dogs (yes, the very same dogs: ((1) mutt, (1) pitbull, & (2) German Shepards) jumped us on the downhill portion ~1/4 mile after the turn. Same place, and almost the exact same time (3 Feb 08). We dialed it up to 400W and still almost became lunch.

Sadly, our first Animal Control report hasn't had the effect we'd hoped.

I plan on personally calling Animal Control AGAIN in hopes of getting some action this time.

Please, just as Hans indicated in his e-mail of 14 Feb 08, if anyone else experiences these dogs do not hesitate to call the St. Mary's County Animal Control Division at: 301-475-8018 (Monday - Friday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm) -Talk with MARIA.

Call 911 if a dog attacks or bites you (24-7).

If you encounter a problem dog on the weekend without a bite call Animal Control at 301-475-8018 and leave a message, be sure to report the address of the incident. Additionally, Animal Control has a person on call on the weekends and off hours.

If anyone wants a better photo of the location, drop me a line: ratboy@md.metrocast.net

Ride hard, ride SAFE!
