301-475-8018 (Monday - Friday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm)

Call 911 if a dog attacks or bites you (24-7).

If you encounter a problem dog on the weekend without a bite call
Animal Control at 301-475-8018 and leave a message, be sure to report
the address of the incident. Additionally, Animal Control has a
person on call on the weekends and off hours.

The previous number given of 301-475-4200 is the main number for the
St. Mary's County Governmental Center operator who is there from 8:00
am to 5:00 pm. They can patch you through to animal control during
normal business hours.
